  3. Great post John. I also recommend Audible for folks who spend a lot of time in the car but want to learn while they drive or run errands. Very good app for the iphone.

    Excellent post. Thank you.

  4. Great challenge, John. As I listened to your video, I turned around and saw my pile of “to be read” books. I counted 34 books on business, spirituality and philosophy! I also have 2 books that I started and that are in progress. I’m going to give your challenge some serious consideration.

Happy Holidays and thanks for your wisdom and guidance throughout 2011.

  5. Thanks so much for the intro to Readitfor.me! What a great service! I also second Jason’s comment on Audible. I use that service as well so I can listen to books in the car. I have found that to be a great way to absorb information with the obvious downside being that you can’t make notes in the margin. Still though, when time is tight or if you don’t like to read, video and audio is the way to go! (Audible also allows you to pay a low monthly membership fee and download multiple books per month).

  6. Ok… I am taking your challenge… good motivation for me. I WILL take the time to slow down from working in my businesses to working on them and enjoying a more creative mind-stream. It is going to be a great year… Thanks John.

  7. John, I re-posted this blog onto my network and I am taking you up on this challenge. I got the new Steve Jobs book for Christmas. Does that count as a business book?

I saw the Audible service in a roundtable that I am in and I am considering and think it is a great service. Thank you and Happy New Year to you.

  8. Hi John,

An update for you. I read four books in January, including three that you’ve recommended: Enchantment, Start With Why, and Today We Are Rich.

As busy as you are, I might just read as much as you this yea! :)
